Hi folks,
Welcome to Sall-Mar Resort and Bay de Noc Charters. Our resort sits at the north end of Little Bay de Noc in Rapid River Michigan. We offer both motel rooms and cabins plus a convenience store with beer, wine, liquor, and groceries, as well as live bait and tackle. With-in walking distance, you will find the Rapid River Pub and The Swallow Inn (we recommend both for top notch food and fun). The Swallow Inn was featured in the movie "Escanaba in da Moonlight". It's a comedy about a " buckless yooper ". An ice cream shop is also with-in strolling distance. Little Bay de Noc is best known for it's excellent walleye fishery. While it's  excellent perch, smallmouth bass, and northern pike fisheries are often overlooked. Very good trout fishing can also be found in many of the areas creeks and streams. You can find more info on the areas' fishing opportunities on the "fishing" page. Hunting opportunities are pretty good too as we are surrounded by millions of acres of state and federal forest lands for all you deer, bear, and grouse hunters. You will also find excellent coyote hunting. All told, Delta County has 500 miles of rivers and streams, 144 miles of lakeshore (the most freshwater shoreline of any county in the United States), 144 inland lakes, and over 1 million acres of federal forest land.
